Roadway Safety Matters
Roadway safety is important. An average of 1,820 crashes are reported each year (120 involve serious injury or death). These crashes affect Loveland's wellbeing. They impact families, workplaces, emergency responders, neighborhoods, livelihoods, mobility, and more.
What is the Loveland Citywide Roadway Safety Study?
The study created a roadway safety program based on data and safety concerns in Loveland. The study included strategies for safety improvements, from infrastructure to enforcement and education. Locations were evaluated and prioritized for potential improvements. The study focused on vulnerable road users and explored how equity impacts safe mobility. Participant feedback was used to create a new Citywide roadway safety program that will improve traffic safety conditions for all modes of travel.
