Upcoming powerline work on N. Taft Avenue starting April 14

From April 14-18, weather permitting, the City of Loveland’s Power Division will conduct boring operations to install new streetlights along N. Taft Avenue. This work will take place on the west side of the road, between the Safeway entrance and Westshore Drive.

This work is focused on upgrading the power lines and is separate from Phases 3b and 3c. Business accesses will remain open. Working hours will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

During these hours, the southbound right lane on N. Taft Avenue will be closed, leaving only one lane open for southbound traffic. Commuters should expect delays and are urged to drive with caution and observe posted speeds in the work zone. Traffic control signs will be in place on southbound N. Taft Avenue and may extend into the right of way near a few homes.
